Advice on Dental Care
and Prophylaxis

For optimal dental care, several related factors matter:

Frequency

Brush your teeth at least 2 x a day for 2 minutes. 1x a day, preferably in the evening, floss your teeth using dental floss or an interdental brush for those areas a toothbrush cannot reach.
If you are unable to brush your teeth after lunch, e.g. because you are at work, sugar free chewing gum can help increase saliva production, which in turn neutralizes acids contained in foods. We are happy to advise you regarding this subject.

Toothbrush

Change your toothbrush every two to three months. Bacteria collect in the bristles and cleaning properties diminish after this time.

Brushing Techniques

We recommend using circular brush motions or brushing in single motions from red (the gums) to white (the tooth). You can use a special tongue scraper to remove bacteria and prevent bad breath.

Check-ups and Professional Teeth Cleaning

You should see your dentist 2 x a year for prophylaxis, check-up and professional teeth cleaning.
